Can I book an appointment AND put myself on the waitlist for a sooner appointment?

You absolutely can! Feel free to book the soonest available physiotherapy appointment that works for you and if you’d like to be seen sooner you are also welcome to place your name on the waitlist and the system will notify you of any openings for the time period that you select!

What should I bring to my physiotherapy appointment?

  1. An online intake form will be sent to you after you make your booking. Please fill this out in advance. You do not need to bring it with you to your appointment as it will show up in our system once you fill it out!

  2. Bring any pertinent medial records (surgical reports, MRI, other imaging, etc.)

  3. If you do not want to pay with e-transfer, please bring a valid credit or debit card for payment.

What should I wear to my physiotherapy appointment?

Ideally comfortable clothing that allows for easy access to treatment locations and allows you to move about easily. For example, a sleeveless shirt for a shoulder assessment or shorts for a knee assessment.

If it is chilly outside or you are coming from work, please feel free to wear whatever you’d like and we can step out and give you time to change before/after your session!

How long will my physiotherapy appointments be?

All physiotherapy assessments and follow up appointments are typically one hour long to allow adequate time to get to know you or hear any updates that you have for us while reserving time to assess (or reassess) you, treat you, teach you any specific exercises that you would benefit from, and answer any/all questions that you have.

We highly value making sure that you leave your physiotherapy appointments feeling like your time with the physiotherapist was not rushed, feeling heard and like your questions were answered, and like you understand exactly what you need to do at home and how this relates to your goals. We find that we can do all of this best with 60 minute appointments.

There are also instances where shorter appointments are preferred or necessary, as such shorter 30-minute physiotherapy appointments are available for those that need them (contact us to book).

Functional Range Assessment (FRA) appointments will vary in length depending on your goals and whether you are looking for a full body, upper body, or lower body assessment.

How often will my physiotherapy appointments be?

The frequency of your physiotherapy appointments will depend greatly your goals and current condition or injury. Once we have assessed you, we can speak to how frequently we recommend that you come in.

Do I need a doctor’s referral for physiotherapy in saskatoon?

You do not need a doctor’s referral for physiotherapy, as it is a direct access health care service.

However, if you have extended health care that you wish to use to help cover the costs of your physiotherapy, you should contact your insurance provider to see if they require a doctor referral for reimbursement of physiotherapy.

Will I be able to use my insurance for physiotherapy?

Absolutely. We do not direct bill, but you will be sent an invoice and a receipt to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

How do I pay for my physiotherapy appointment?

Accepted forms of payment include: e-transfer (preferred), debit, and credit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express). Payments can be processed via interact flash, tap and Apple Pay. We do not accept cash.

Payment is due the same day as the scheduled session.
